Established on the Northern Beaches of Sydney in 2003, we are a boutique residential design firm specialising in designing and documenting houses that meet our clients' needs, and exceed their expectations. Whether additions and alterations to an existing house, or a totally new one, our strength lies in delivering what people want, not in what we think they ought to have. We tailor buildings to suit people’s family situations now, but also with an eye to the future growth and changes that inevitably come with family life. We have a deep and abiding belief in sustainable building design. At fineline we design comfortable, energy efficient dwellings that compliment their surroundings and seamlessly integrate with and enhance their occupants’ lives. We design spaces that fill people’s lives with natural light and air, as well as a sense of openness, and privacy. We believe that people live best when they are living and working in good spaces that relate well to their surroundings, are flexible, and make the very best of the particular site and environment. People need good, well organised spaces to live in, with a scale and proportion that suits their individual needs. We have a deep and thorough understanding of the process and requirements of building, as well as long established collaboration with other development professionals and builders, that enable us to achieve such sound results. We also have a firm grasp on the costs associated with building, and therefore are able to help people be realistic about their budget, and manage their expectations. It is all too easy to design a house that people can’t afford. One of the keys to a successful project is having a realistic budget, and designing within peoples' budgetary limitations.
